Brooke Robertson

I have been working in the health and fitness industry for 6 years in various clinics alongside mainly Osteopaths and Chiropractors since graduating in 2011 including a period working for the North Melbourne Football club as a Soft Tissue Therapist.

I enjoy working with a variety of clientele; treating people with no fitness base to high level athletes. In particular, working with clients who have an interest in sport whether injured or looking to perform better. I have a strong passion for general body conditioning in all sports, which is why I have a strong belief in exercise based therapy.

I’m a strong believer in a holistic health and wellness lifestyle.
Taking an approach that incorporates this into treatment needs to consider more than just the physical. I educate and encourage my clients to start having a strong mind too. That if you can have a strong mind you can have a strong body. This is where I practice what I preach – mentally taking time out for myself to keep grounded to who I am.

I am passionate about ensuring my clients are provided with the highest level of care, focussing on personal training, nutritional guidance or musculoskeletal injury treatment. I have worked as a Fitness Professional for many years and have develop an amazing clientele base from all walks of life running my own business through Goodlife Health Clubs in Glen Iris with my Personal Training.
I understand how frustrating it can be for an injury to prevent you from being active and achieving your goals, therefore I strive to get you back on track as soon as possible. I tailor each session for the individual needs, using techniques such as joint mobilisation, exercise prescription, deep-tissue massage and dry needling.

I recently have taken part in a few professional and personal development courses and for my most recent I travelled up to Sunshine Coast for a Holistic Health and Wellness Mentorship program through Kaizen Institute of Health. With this program, I spent four days with the institute to investigate into individual’s health concerns on a different level. Pain doesn’t always mean its musculoskeletal issue, joint pain and inflammation can also be a caused from food sensitivity or an imbalance with cortisol levels.

When I’m not working in my professions I love to keep myself very active, this can be either on the gym floor training and lifting heavy things or on the football field kicking goals.
I am a very friendly, ambitious person. I love a good social event as I call myself a social butterfly, love catching up with friends and family and taking my beagles for hikes on weekends when Melbourne’s weather performs.
